Simple Books Bookkeeping · BAS Agent 26126770 · Last updated: 10 June 2026
This service is operated by Simple Books Bookkeeping (ABN 62 750 440 339), a registered BAS Agent (Tax Practitioners Board registration number 26126770), contactable at will.simplebooks@gmail.com ("we", "us", "our"). By using this tool you agree to these Terms.
This is a self-help tool that helps you prepare Business Activity Statement (BAS) figures and basic financial reports from bank transaction data that you provide. It is designed for GST-registered sole traders on a cash basis with no payroll.
The tool is not tax, BAS, accounting, financial or legal advice. The automated categorisation and GST treatment are suggestions only and are a starting point that you must review. The tool does not lodge anything with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
You are responsible for reviewing every transaction, for the accuracy and completeness of the figures produced, and for anything you lodge with the ATO. You must hold valid records (including tax invoices) to support amounts claimed, and you remain responsible for meeting your own tax and reporting obligations.
BAS preparation is charged at $50 per BAS (introductory price). Optional services — advice before lodging ($50) and BAS lodgement by a registered BAS agent ($50) — are charged separately. All prices are in Australian dollars. We are not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged on these fees. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
Because the service delivers digital figures immediately on payment, fees are generally non-refundable once your figures have been unlocked. If something has gone wrong, contact us at will.simplebooks@gmail.com and we will work with you in good faith. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
If you purchase advice or engage us to review and lodge your BAS, those services are provided by William as a registered BAS Agent under a separate engagement, subject to the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 and the Code of Professional Conduct. Using the self-help tool alone does not create a BAS agent–client relationship.
The tool is provided "as is". Figures (including any tax-to-set-aside estimate) are estimates only and depend entirely on the data and coding you provide. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the tool, errors in the data or coding you enter, or amounts you lodge. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Bank transaction data you upload is processed in your web browser to produce your figures and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. Contact and payment details you provide at checkout are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is the one published on this page.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
