1. Who we are

Simple Books Bookkeeping (ABN 62 750 440 339), a registered BAS Agent (number 26126770), is responsible for personal information collected through this tool. Contact: will.simplebooks@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

When you pay for a service we collect your name, email address and phone number (collected through our payment provider, Stripe). If you engage us for advice or lodgement, we may collect further information needed to provide those services.

Your bank transaction data is processed entirely within your web browser to produce your figures. It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3. How we use it

We use your information to: provide the service and deliver your reports and receipt; respond to your enquiries; provide BAS advice or lodgement services if you engage us; and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

4. Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are not collected or stored by us. Stripe handles your information under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/au/privacy).

5. Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate (such as Stripe for payments and our website host), and — only if you engage us to lodge your BAS — with the ATO as required to provide that service. We may disclose information where required by law.

6. Storage and retention

We keep contact and payment records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal obligations. As a registered BAS Agent we are required to retain certain records, and tax-related records are generally kept for at least five years.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing will.simplebooks@gmail.com. If you have a privacy concern or complaint, contact us and we will respond; you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is the one published on this page.
